Ways to work together / Wealth Management
Your plan and your investments, handled.
I build your plan, manage your investments, and keep both current as your life changes.
How it works
Three steps from first call to finished plan.
Once your documents are in, you’ll have your plan in about a month.
-
01
Discover
The first conversation
A Retirement Clarity Assessment: where you stand, what you want, and the decisions ahead. You’ll know if we’re a fit before you commit.
-
02
Design
About two weeks after your documents arrive
I gather your pension estimates, statements, tax returns and benefits. Then we meet to work through your goals and tradeoffs.
-
03
Deliver
About two weeks after the design meeting
A video walking through every recommendation, plus a written plan. Then I manage your investments and keep your plan current as your life changes.

Every plan covers
Eight areas, one plan.
Your pension, taxes and investments all affect each other. I plan them together so one decision doesn’t undo another.
Retirement income
One paycheck from your pension, deferred comp, savings and Social Security, with spending guardrails.
Pension decisions
Your DRS option, survivor benefit and start date, modeled before you elect. The choice is permanent.
Tax strategy
Roth conversions, withdrawal order, leave cash-outs and Medicare premiums, planned by a CPA.
Investing
Low-cost, tax-efficient portfolios built to pay you an income.
Risk management
The right coverage before you leave employer benefits, and a bridge for health coverage to Medicare.
Cash flow
What you spend now, what retirement will cost, and how to cover the years before Social Security.
Estate planning
Beneficiaries on your pension, deferred comp and accounts, and the documents your family will need, coordinated with your attorney.
Charitable giving
Giving the most tax-efficient way, from qualified charitable distributions to donor-advised funds.
What it costs
One fee, based on assets.
I’m fee-only. You pay me directly, and I don’t earn commissions on anything I recommend.
| Assets under management | Maximum annual fee |
|---|---|
| $0 to $1,000,000 | 0.85% |
| $1,000,001 to $2,000,000 | 0.80% |
| $2,000,001 to $4,000,000 | 0.75% |
| Over $4,000,000 | 0.65% |
- Planning fee waived with $500,000 or more under management.
- One rate for the whole account. It’s a breakpoint schedule: a $1,500,000 account is charged 0.80% on the full balance.
- Billed quarterly in advance, generally deducted directly from your account.
- Tax return preparation is optional, for a separate fee. Many clients like having one CPA handle their plan and their return.
This is a summary. Our Form ADV Part 2A has the complete fee schedule and terms.
